Success Doesn’t “Just Happen”

It seems pretty basic, but so many entertainers only concentrate on their show.  When you are in business, you’ve got to handle the business.  Jason Alan shares what sounds like a simple concept – but give it some serious consideration!

When you become a full time entertainer, you are starting a business and must know how to run one. A good book for those starting up is: Start Your Own Business. Yeah, it isn’t as glamorous as being on-stage, but you need to know the fundamentals of doing business.

Because you will wear many hats at the start, it is easy to become overwhelmed. I enjoyed reading Extreme Productivity: Boost Your Results, Reduce Your Hours. Learn to focus your time and energies to achieve maximum results.

(In case you can’t tell – I am big on reading, getting an education in the business and keeping my mind open to new ideas. If you want to be a pro – you should too!
