Level Of Confidence

Talent agent Terry Gehman sits down with Tom Crowl and shares that he gets a lot of submissions from performing artists. Everyone who want to perform wants an agent to help get them gigs. Unlike other agents I know, Terry actually looks at all the materials submitted, but he can quickly tell when the materials are not up to a certain level. If the materials don’t generate a professional appearance, how could he ever have the confidence to put an act in front of his client.

Take a look at your promotional materials. Are they something you designed on your home computer? Or did you hire a designer to create your look? Are your photos high quality, or did a friend snap them with his new digital camera? Get feedback from people you trust. Do your promotional items match the quality of your show? Will they create a level of trust that allows an agent to work with you? If not – get started today and invest in materials that will generate you income, instead of costing you money.
